***ALERT: Change affecting coaching***

Before we cover the most prominent updates with this release, please note: The coaching task list will no longer be accessible on the main Admin dashboard (I.e., where coaches previously saw it as soon as they logged in). With this release, coaches need to click “Coaching” on the main admin menu to access it:

In this release, we are excited to introduce new features that grant members a new level of autonomy in self-representation and augment the sense of community while participating in wellness challenges. Each of these enhancements work together to provide participants with a chance to be more creative and expressive in their challenge experiences while bolstering their sense of together-ness when they are part of a challenge team.

Empowering Personal Representation via Expanded Social Handle Options

When joining a challenge, participants now have the ability to choose their own social handles that represent them in leader boards, group member listings, and in their own interactions with a challenge.

Key Details

  • Diverse Preset Options: Participants can choose from a wider range of preset social handles based on a variety of themes. This variety allows users to easily select a handle that resonates personally or aligns with their interests.

  • Customizable Auto-Assigned Handles: Participants can modify their auto-assigned social handles by selecting a preferred theme and adding a unique number. This ensures each handle remains distinctive within the Engagement Rx ecosystem.

  • Randomize Handle Option: For those who enjoy an element of surprise, a 'randomize' button is available to generate a unique social handle automatically.

  • Free-Form Handle Entry: A new portal-level setting allows free-form entry of social handles, enabled by default. This feature lets participants create custom handles if desired. Clients can disable this setting to restrict handle creation to the preset format, ensuring consistency and control.

Augmenting Community Engagement via Independent Team Formation and Management Options

Many challenges are designed to foster a sense of collective effort and community as participants are grouped together in different teams. The more this objective of community and camaraderie is achieved, the more likely participants are to have fun and to be successful in their challenge. Participants can now independently form new teams and invite others to join using an invitation code. This feature enhances engagement by allowing participants to choose friends, colleagues, or other community members to join them in a challenge.

Key Details

  • Create and Invite Teams: Participants can now form new teams independently and invite others via an invitation code. This feature promotes engagement by enabling participants to team up with friends, colleagues, or other community members, fostering a stronger sense of community and mutual motivation.

  • Customizable Team Names: Team leaders can change their team's auto-assigned name, allowing for names that reflect the team's identity, spirit, or creativity. This enhances unity and presence within the challenge.

  • Randomize Team Name Option: A 'randomize' button is available for teams preferring spontaneity, generating a unique, system-approved team name automatically.

  • Free-Form Team Name Entry: A new portal-level setting allows free-form entry of team names, enabled by default to offer maximum flexibility and personalization. Clients can disable this setting to restrict teams to system-generated names, maintaining consistency and control.

Benefits for Participants and Clients

These enhancements are designed to give clients the option to allow participants more control over their experience, which can potentially foster both individual expression and collective engagement within the Engagement Rx platform.

  • Increased Personalization: Participants can showcase their personalities or interests with a wider variety of social handle options.

  • Enhanced Sense of Control and Ownership: Participants can independently create and manage teams and can send invitations to other participants, helping to boost the sense of community and motivation.

  • Improved Engagement: Unique and meaningful social handles, along with the ability to form and manage teams, can boost participant involvement and interaction in challenges.

  • Client Setting Options: Both of these new enhancements can be enabled or disabled by the client as they see fit, choosing between allowing open-ended team names and social handles or adhering to system-generated names.
