Enhanced Consent Collection for SMS-Enabled Account

To align with new U.S. wireless industry requirements, we are enhancing how consent is managed when collecting phone numbers for SMS-enabled accounts. Members will now be required to explicitly agree to terms when providing their phone number. This ensures compliance and safeguards member preferences.

Key Details

• Applies to all non-SSO/User Eligibility portals that have SMS functionality enabled.

• Consent can be collected with the Phone Number component in flows or in the member profile.

Note: For incoming phone numbers provided through clients configured with SSO or user eligibility files as authentication types, we assume the client has already obtained the necessary consent.
