Introducing New Goal Component in Flows & a Goal Flow Template
We are excited to unveil a new enhancement to our flows feature in Engagement Rx: the addition of a goal component that allows participants to choose a premade goal or to create their own custom goals directly within any flow. This update provides a dynamic and interactive way for participants to engage with personal goal setting, guided by the flow structure designed by admins or coaches. After the selection or creation of a goal in a flow, it will automatically appear in the goals tile of the member dashboard. Accompanying this feature is our first goals template that demonstrates how this new capability can be used.
Key Enhancements
Customizable Goal Component: The new goal component can be integrated into flows, enabling participants to create their own goal. This component supports settings for goal type, allowing participants to specify whether their goals are short-term or long-term.
New Nutrition Goals Template: A flow template has been added called "Short-Term Nutrition Goal." This template demonstrates the new feature and functionality and can be easily and quickly put to use in a portal as it is.
Outline of the New Goals Template
The Goals Template Flow begins with a multiple-choice question asking the participant to select a short-term nutrition goal (goals are categorized as either short- or long-term) from the following options:
Increase Daily Vegetable Intake: Eat at least five servings of vegetables each day.
Reduce Sugar Consumption: Limit added sugars to less than 25 grams per day.
Get More Whole Grains: Replace refined grains with whole grains in at least 2 meals per day.
Hydration: Drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily.
I want to create a goal for myself!
If the participant chooses one of the first four options, the flow leads to an automated action that adds the selected goal to the participant's record and their dashboard.
If a participant chooses to create a unique goal, the flow directs them to the new Goal component where they can write out and submit their personalized goal.
Here is a GIF of a participant completing the Goal Flow and the population of the new, custom goal on their member dashboard:
Benefits for Participants and Clients
Enhanced Participant Engagement: By integrating goal setting within flows, participants are more actively involved in their personal development journey with a new way to create goals that are recorded and displayed on the homepage.
Flexibility and Customization: Clients can quickly set the goal template flow to use or tailor flows to support diverse goal-setting topics and scenarios, enhancing the relevance and impact of their programs.
Streamlined Goal Integration: Automated actions linked to goal selections simplify the process of tracking and managing participant goals.
